An Update on Mavin

When we founded Mavin 13 years ago, we wanted to answer a simple question: "What is my collection actually worth?" We've always been collectors ourselves, and we knew how challenging it can be to find accurate, up-to-date pricing information. So, we set out to build a straightforward tool that we could use and trust.

Over the years, Mavin grew from a simple two-page website into a powerful resource for collectors around the world. We're incredibly proud of the elegant solutions we built and the technical challenges we overcame to make it a reality. Seeing thousands of collectors use our tool to manage their collections was truly a joy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who used Mavin, provided feedback, and supported us along the way.

It’s been an incredible journey, but all journeys must come to an end. After 13 years of building and growing Mavin, we've decided to close the company. We're proud of what we accomplished and feel immense gratitude for the time we spent building Mavin for all of you.

What This Means for Your Account

Effective immediately, all Mavin accounts will be shut down. This is the first step in winding down the company, and we will be wiping all private user data from our servers. You will no longer be able to log in to Mavin, and the search interface will no longer be accessible.

The Mavin founders will continue to monitor the company email account at [email protected] for any questions.
